About Me

Born and raised in Spartanburg, South Carolina, I attended high school El Salvador after my parents accepted teaching positions at a bilingual school in the capital city. In the five years we lived there, I fell in love with the country, its people, and my new second language, Spanish.

I have been a middle and high school Spanish teacher since fall of 2014, teaching everything from Introductions to Languages to International Baccalaureate. I am passionate about immersion techniques, using authentic resources, and having fun in the classroom!

In the summer of 2017, I accepted a scholarship to attend Middlebury College to pursue a Masters in Spanish. Looking at that diploma in 2020.
